    [tex]16x = 0[/tex]

    [tex]x = 0[/tex]

    substitute [tex]x = 0[/tex] into equation 1

    [tex]y = 8x + 2[/tex]

    [tex]y = 8(0) + 2[/tex]

    [tex]y = 2[/tex]

    Therefore : it has one solution
