P= Parentheses

E=exponents

M= Multiplication

D= Division

A=Addition

S=Subtraction

you dont have any parentheses, exponents, or multiplication so you start from division

4/2 =2

5-2+7

2+7 = 9

5-9=4

the answer is 4

4 divided by 2 =2. 5–2+7. 2+7=9. 5–9= -4
